Quick and easy ways to boost social engagement

Social media is a fantastic tool to boost your business and generate revenue. But like any tool, you need to know how to use it properly to get the most out it! In this quick blog we’ll go through some simple tips to help you climb the social media ladder and get your content super popular in no time.

If you enjoy this blog why not check out some of our other topics, and give us a shout if you want to find out more about what LeadSocial can do for you and your social media platforms.

Post regularly

No we’re not talking about sending letters and parcels, but putting regular comments and ideas out there! Post daily and keep the subject topical and close to your product’s message. Easier said than done, but with practice you’ll soon get the hang of it. If you need help with this, just ask us.

Use a variety of media

Text is good, but mix it up by using video and pictures too. Memes are a fun way of getting a message across and there are literally thousands out there to choose from. See what’s trending and link it to what you are trying to say. Remember, it should be relevant otherwise it will come across as spammy and desperate.

It’s competition time!

Run quizzes and polls on your social media. It’s a quick but very effective way of getting people’s attention, and everyone likes a freebie. If you are pushing a new product, give one away! It’s a great excuse to talk all about it and link off to where people can get their hands on it.

Share and share alike

Look around to see what other businesses are talking about. It may seem counterproductive to share a competitors post, but you can use it to your advantage. Compare their products to yours with pros and cons. Link to a post that is informative and broaden your topic horizons.

Use Hashtags

Hashtags are an easy but very effective way of appearing in search results and getting in on a hot trend. Make it snappy and relevant to your message though, and don’t use too many of them. Sometimes the best posts are an image with a single hashtag, which tells the user all they need to know. Post a pic of your product with a hashtag like #winningor #lifegoals to get people thinking and clicking!

Engagement

Not getting down on one knee, although we are flattered. No, engage with your audience! If someone has gone to the effort of making a comment, (good or bad) then reply to it. Not only does it show you care, but others will see it and you may even get a conversation going with a few prospective customers. There’s nothing more off putting than not being listened to.

Get going!
